Channel Surfing 2: Gallery Day, 2024

Channel Surfing 2: Gallery Day, or Channel Surfing 2 for short, is a video project installation by J Rich formatted as someone flipping through various television channels. Made over the summer under a fellowship with the University of Pittsburgh, Channel Surfing 2 totals 8 minutes and 42 seconds and includes segments directed by J Rich, Ajani Zanaya, Yesh Yoko, Gia Abucejo, and Alex Kunkel, as well as fictional movie posters created by J Rich. This project is a conceptual sequel to Channel Surfing and predecessor to Channel Surfing 3: Remote Viewing. The short film is also littered with easter eggs and details, such as the channel numbers for each segment, the release dates on the posters, and even the channel titles themselves.
