People Are Afraid of the Talent I Have, 2024

People Are Afraid of the Talent I Have was a month long exhibition, in collaboration with the Wick Monet gallery, showcasing a series of collaborative paintings & sculptures between J Rich & other artists. Such artists included EXDX Art, Ajani Zanaya, Caitlin Pulizotto, Chesney Warden, Emma Shearer, Alex Kunkel, Isa Villegas, Violet Hershberger, and more. Over two dozen pieces by 20 local artists were shown, with the opening reception of the exhibition taking place on September 6th. People Are Afraid of the Talent I Have was created to give college level artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a space outside of the classroom setting, while embracing the collaborative nature of art and its many mediums. Curator J Rich conceptualized the exhibition as a way of collaborating with others without having both parties being in the same space at the same time.
